The Liver Baby Foundation was created in honor of our daughter Allie who received a life saving liver transplant at FIVE months old. The experience opened our eyes to the DIFFICULT AND PAINFUL struggle of caring for a sick child. life before and after transplant comes with many challenges, especially financial ones. we made it to the other side of an excruciating ordeal with the love, help, and support of our family and friends, and even strangers from around the world who heard about allie's story. as soon as we felt that wave of support carry us through, we had an overwhelming resolve to pay it forward. our MISSION IS TO SUPPORT THE FAMILIES OF CHILDREN WHO HAVE UNDERGONE A LIVER TRANSPLANT SO THey MAY FOCUS ON THEIR CHILD'S HEALTH AND NOT THE tremendous FINANCIAL BURDEN THAT COMES ALONG WITH THE TRANSPLANT PROCESS.
THE LIVER BABY FOUNDATION IS A 501(C)(3) CHARITY THAT IS OPERATED ON A VOLUNTEER BASIS BY FAMILY AND FRIENDS OF OUR MIRACLE LIVER BABY, ALLIE. WE ARE A GRASS ROOTS ORGANIZATION WITH NO PAID EMPLOYEES AND VIRTUALLY NO OVERHEAD. THIS MEANS that THE RESOURCES ARE GOING EXACTLY WHERE THEY SHOULD BE GOING - TO THE BRAVE LITTLE WARRIORS.
